Founder advice, pay as you go.

Straight answers from a founder who's still doing it, not one who did it 20 years ago. No retainer, no contract, no commitment. Book an hour when you need one.

My promise

If the call wasn't worth it, I refund you before we hang up.

At the end of every call I ask one question: was that worth it? If your answer is no, you get your money back there and then.

Who I am

I founded DrinkWell, a marketplace business I've scaled alongside multiple brands in beer, wine and spirits.

Over the years I've also helped businesses in all kinds of categories scale as a consultant, across marketing, sales, finance, operations and efficiency.

I've made every mistake a founder is likely to make. I've seen the highs and the lows, the challenges and the successes, and I understand exactly what it takes. Unlike many consultants, I've been there and done it, and I'm still doing it day to day.

I want to help founders make fewer mistakes than I did, and shorten their path to success.

  • Marketing
  • Sales
  • Finance and fundraising
  • Operations
  • Efficiency and costs
  • Scaling
  • Brand and product
  • Retail and distribution

You can have the best advice in the world, but if you can't execute it, it's worthless.

What founders actually need

Every founder wants more success and more freedom while they chase their North Star and bring their idea to life. What most don't have is time, spare cash, or room for another long-term commitment.

  • Short, sharp answersNot hours of advice you'll never have time to implement.
  • Help across everythingMarketing one week, a supplier or a cash crunch the next.
  • No big commitmentDip in and out as you please.
  • Proof it's worth itValue you can see, or your money back.

Why I don't do consultancy the usual way

I've spent tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of pounds on consultants. Most of it gave me little to no value.

Standard consultancy means big monthly retainers on long contracts, with no sight of outcomes or whether it's worth it. So I built a format I'd have wanted: short, focused time that gets you as much value as possible with the least commitment.

Payment is taken when you book. Both come with my promise.

My promise: worth it, or your money back.

At the end of every call, I'll ask whether it was worth it. If you say no, I'll refund you in full before we hang up. You don't need to fill in a form or chase me.

I'd rather lose a fee than take money for advice that didn't help. That's the whole point of doing it this way.

How it works

  1. Book and pay

Pick a time that suits you. Payment secures your slot.

  2. Tell me the problem

A short form about your business and your top questions, so I'm prepared before we speak.

  3. We talk

A video call, straight into it. No sales pitch, no fluff.

  4. Was it worth it?

I ask before we finish. If the answer's no, I refund you there and then.

No founder needs hours and hours of consultancy. There's never time to implement it.

Questions

Can I ask you something before I book?

Of course. Send me a DM on LinkedIn and I'll get back to you.

Who is this for?

Founders who want experienced, practical advice without a long-term commitment. My deepest experience is in consumer brands and drinks, but I've helped businesses across many categories.

How does the refund actually work?

Before we finish, I ask if the call was worth it. If you say no, I refund the full amount to the card you paid with while we're still on the call. Card refunds usually show within 5 to 10 days.

Why do I have to pay before the call?

It secures your slot and means we can spend the whole call on your business. Because I refund on the spot if it wasn't worth it, you're never out of pocket for a call that didn't help.

Can I book more than once?

As often as you like. Book when you need me, skip it when you don't.

Is what I tell you confidential?

Yes. I don't share anything you tell me. I also don't advise businesses that compete directly with ones I'm involved in. If that applies to you, I'll let you know and refund you before the call.

What if I need to reschedule?

You can move your call once, free, with 24 hours' notice.
